Trust Assistant Manager
Location: London


Seeking a Trust Assistant Manager to join a specialist Trust Team, responsible for the accounting, administration and tax affairs of UK-resident trusts. This role offers varied, high-quality work with the opportunity to assist on advisory projects and, if desired, gain exposure to non-UK trusts, estates and personal tax.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a mixed portfolio of UK-resident trust clients

* Preparation of trust accounts and self-assessment tax returns

* Assisting senior team members with advisory work including IHT planning, succession planning, wealth preservation and trust restructuring

* Preparing for and attending client meetings

* Liaising with clients, professional advisers and HMRC

* Managing deadlines and maintaining a high standard of client care

* Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members

Systems
Experience with CCH Trust Accounts and CCH Personal Tax is advantageous; training will be provided.
About You
* ACA, CTA or STEP qualified

* 3-5 years’ experience in a private client role within an accountancy or legal practice

* Strong trust accounting and tax reporting experience

* Organised, detail-focused and able to manage a client portfolio

* Proactive, collaborative and keen to develop

Desirable
Experience with family offices, landed estates or HNW clients.
