Private Client Assistant Manager
Location: London
A well-established professional services firm is seeking a Private Client Assistant Manager to join its growing Private Client team. The role involves managing a portfolio of private clients, with a focus on trusts, estates and personal tax compliance, alongside exposure to advisory work.
This is a varied opportunity offering high-quality work and the chance to support senior team members on planning projects, while also mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a portfolio of private clients, including trusts and estates
* Preparation and review of trust accounts and personal tax returns
* Assisting with advisory work including IHT planning, succession planning and wealth preservation
* Attending client meetings and supporting new client work
* Liaising with clients, professional advisers and HMRC
* Managing deadlines and maintaining a high standard of client care
* Reviewing work and supporting the development of junior team members
Systems
Experience with CCH Trust Accounts and CCH Personal Tax is advantageous; training will be provided.
About You
* ACA, CTA or STEP qualified
* 3-5 years’ experience in a private client role within an accountancy or legal practice
* Strong technical knowledge of trusts and personal tax
* Organised, detail-focused and able to manage a client portfolio
* Proactive, collaborative and keen to develop
