Job Description:
Braille Support Worker urgently required to support VI students
Based in East London
The successful candidate will have experience as a Learning Support Assistant or Support Worker working alongside younger adults or children with additional needs.
Responsibilities:
*Working with the sensory department, you will be working with a variety of learners and be expected to meet standards of work
*Delivering support to learners
*Extensive knowledge of Braille
*Experience working with VI & disabilities
*Early years, primary, secondary or adult experience

Requirements:
*DBS registered to the update service
*Experienced Learning Assistant or Support Worker with extensive knowledge of Braille
*English & Maths GCSE or equivalent
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team
*Knowledge of Braille or MOON
*Flexible approach to working
*Immediately available or January 2021
*Excellent behaviour management
*Current DBS on the update service
*SEN Classroom experience
*Working with primary or secondary aged students
*Full UK driving License
This is a full time/long term position and will lead to permanent if successful.
Skills and experience required are as follows:
*SEN, complex needs
*EBD
*ASD
*Personal care
*Excellent behaviour management
*Current DBS on the update service
*SEN Classroom experience Extensive knowledge of Braille
*Working with primary or secondary aged students
