Salary: £45,000-£48,000 + Overtime (x1.5)
Shifts: Days-only Panama shift - 7am to 7pm
The Opportunity
You’ll be a key part of a high performing Engineering team, ensuring machinery runs reliably and efficiently across a busy production facility. With a major focus on breakdown response, fault finding and reliability improvement, this role offers genuine variety and the chance to work across the full engineering life cycle - from installation and commissioning to reactive and preventative maintenance.
What You’ll Be Doing *Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns to keep production moving.
*Conduct advanced diagnostics on high speed packaging and processing machinery.
*Deliver high quality reactive maintenance with a strong focus on safety and engineering excellence.
*Carry out root cause analysis and implement long term corrective solutions.
*Support and contribute to planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
*Work closely with Production to minimise downtime and meet agreed targets.
*Accurately log all breakdowns, repairs and corrective actions in the maintenance system.
*Champion safe working practices and site engineering standards.
*Get involved in continuous improvement projects aimed at boosting OEE and equipment reliability.
*Provide technical support and guidance to Apprentices during maintenance and breakdowns.
About You *Multiskilled Engineer
*Ideally 5+ years in an FMCG or fast paced manufacturing environment.
*Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding skills.
*HNC/HND desirable but not essential.
*Proactive, self motivated and resilient with a can do attitude.
*Confident communicator who works well under pressure.
*Flexible with shift patterns, including weekends/bank holidays.
