Job Description:
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Location: LE11
Salary: £42,000
Shift Pattern: Continentals
Mechanical Bias: 70/30 or 60/40
An established manufacturing site in the LE11 area is looking to recruit two Mechanical Maintenance Engineers to strengthen its engineering team.
This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced production environment, ideal for an engineer with a strong mechanical background and basic electrical competence.
The Role: * Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery
* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults (bearings, belts, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.)
* Supporting electrical fault finding where required (sensors, motors, basic controls)
* Contributing to continuous improvement and breakdown reduction
* Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures
The Ideal Candidate: * Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
* Strong mechanical skillset with basic electrical knowledge (70/30 or 60/40 split)
* Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
* Comfortable working continental shifts
* Proactive, reliable, and team-focused
