Accounts Semi-Senior / Accounts Technician – Southwick Office
Location: Southwick, West Sussex
Salary: £26,000 – £38,000 (DOE)

Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant, Technician or Semi-Senior looking for a new challenge within a supportive and growing accountancy firm? This well-established independent practice, with a modern and friendly Southwick office, is expanding and looking for an enthusiastic Accounts professional to join the team.
This is a varied and hands-on role ideal for someone with solid experience in practice who enjoys working closely with a wide range of clients.
The Role:
You will be responsible for supporting the preparation of accounts and tax returns for a portfolio of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, while building great client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of the Southwick office.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
* Assisting with the preparation of corporation and personal tax returns
* Bookkeeping and VAT return preparation
* Supporting clients with day-to-day queries and cloud accounting software
* Liaising with managers and partners to ensure timely delivery of work
About You:
* Experience in a UK accountancy practice is essential
* AAT qualified or studying, or qualified by experience
* Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts prep, and VAT
* Familiarity with cloud-based accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks etc.)
* A positive attitude, good attention to detail, and willingness to learn
