General Teaching Assistant - Key Stage 2 (KS2)

About the Role We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and nurturing General Teaching Assistant to join our KS2 team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning, fostering independence, and helping to create a positive and engaging classroom environment.
As a valued member of our school community, you will work closely with class teachers to support teaching and learning, deliver targeted small-group or 1:1 interventions, and help ensure that every child achieves their full potential.
Key Responsibilities *Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences across KS2
*Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning objectives
*Assist in preparing learning materials and classroom resources
*Provide pastoral support to pupils, helping to promote positive behaviour and well-being
*Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
*Support pupils with SEND in line with individual support plans
*Accompany classes on educational visits and contribute to wider school activities
*Carry out administrative tasks that support teaching and learning
The Successful Candidate Will Have: *A positive, proactive, and caring approach
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*An understanding of KS2 curriculum expectations
*Patience, resilience, and the ability to build supportive relationships with pupils
*A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
*Experience in a school setting (desirable but not essential)
*Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) preferred
