Catering Assistant – School Setting

Are you reliable, friendly and enjoy working in a busy kitchen environment? We’re supporting a local school in Peterborough who are looking for a Catering Assistant to join their team and help provide nutritious meals to pupils and staff.
What you’ll be doing:
*Assisting with the preparation of meals and snacks
*Serving food to pupils in a polite, professional manner
*Keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean and tidy
*Washing up and basic food prep
*Following all food hygiene and safeguarding procedures
*Working as part of a supportive and hardworking kitchen team
What we’re looking for:
*Experience in a kitchen or catering environment (school-based experience is a bonus, not essential)
*A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
*Good teamwork and communication skills
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – essential due to working in a school
*Reliability and availability during school hours (typically Monday–Friday)
