Sales Specialist
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a proactive and customer-focused Ground Care Sales Specialist to join a growing division within a well-established machinery and equipment business. If you enjoy a hands-on, customer-facing role, this position could be an excellent fit.
You will use your technical understanding, product knowledge, and communication skills to support sales across a full ground care product range. This includes showroom-based sales for mowers and handheld equipment, as well as customer demonstrations, equipment handovers, and supporting professional walk-in enquiries.
This role plays a key part in ensuring customer satisfaction and contributing to overall sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
*Represent the Ground Care division in the sale and support of garden machinery and accessories
*Build strong, long-lasting relationships with retail and professional customers
*Conduct on-site demonstrations and deliver training during equipment handovers
*Use CRM systems and follow internal sales processes to ensure compliance
*Ensure machinery is invoiced prior to delivery and assist with follow-up on outstanding payments
*Attend trade shows, customer events, and support internal teams when required
*Promote the company and its leading industry brands with professionalism and integrity
*Assist with general depot duties including stock checks, pricing, and product presentation
*Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements at all times
Working Pattern
This role requires flexibility to accommodate seasonal demand with varying work patterns:
*Peak Season: Tuesday to Saturday
*Off-Peak Season: Monday to Friday
What We’re Looking For
*Ideally 1+ years’ experience in equipment or machinery sales (training provided for the right person)
*Enthusiastic, proactive, and customer-centric approach
*Good understanding of garden machinery or related industry knowledge
*Confident using digital tools, online systems, and sales platforms
*Familiarity with ground care or turf equipment, including competitor products
*Strong communication and analytical skills
*Flexibility to work extended hours when required, including Saturdays on a rota
*Reliable, honest, and team-orientated
*Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
Work Location
*On - Site Ripon
*Candidates should be able to commute reliably or be prepared to relocate.
