Production Team Leader – Tewkesbury
Location: Tewkesbury
Salary: £14.12 per hour
Hours: Minimum 37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: 5 days over 7, shift rota
Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Production Team Leader to support day-to-day operations within a fast-paced production and chilled warehouse environment. You will be responsible for leading a team, maintaining high operational standards, and ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency across all activities.
This role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to remain organised while managing multiple priorities.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
*Lead and support a team responsible for product receipt, handling, picking, and returns.
*Oversee all stock movement, ensuring accurate checking of codes, labels, and documentation.
*Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised production or chilled warehouse area.
*Supervise the safe loading and unloading of vehicles in line with company procedures.
*Monitor staff performance, providing coaching, guidance, and constructive feedback.
*Provide operational cover for Supervisors during holidays or absence.
*Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety policies and safe working practices.
*Carry out additional reasonable tasks as required by senior management.
*Manage daily workflow and ensure operational targets are met.
*Foster a positive, supportive team culture with open communication.

Desirable Skills & Experience
*A current FLT and/or PPT licence.
*Previous experience as a Team Leader or Senior Operative in a busy production, warehouse, or FMCG environment.
*Experience in food, beverage, or temperature-controlled operations.
*Good IT literacy and ability to use production or warehouse systems.
*Demonstrated leadership and confident decision-making skills.
