Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a collaborative HR team on an 18-month maternity cover contract. This is a stand-alone payroll role, offering real autonomy and ownership, reporting directly into HR.
You’ll take full responsibility for the end-to-end monthly in-house payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a great service to the wider business.
Key responsibilities include:
*Managing the full payroll lifecycle on a monthly basis
*Ensuring compliance with current UK payroll legislation
*Overseeing payroll system updates and ensuring optimal functionality
*Producing and submitting all required reports to HMRC
*Acting as the main point of contact for all payroll-related queries
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
*Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation
*Proven experience processing in-house payroll
*Confidence working in a sole/stand-alone payroll position
*A proactive, organised approach with excellent attention to detail
