Job Description:
A school in the Great Yarmouth area is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Site Manager to join their team. This is a vital role within the school, ensuring that the site is safe, secure, clean, and well-maintained for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities*Oversee the day-to-day maintenance of the school buildings and grounds
*Carry out basic repairs, DIY tasks, and planned maintenance
*Ensure the site is safe and secure, including opening/locking school premises
*Conduct regular health & safety checks and maintain relevant records
*Liaise with contractors and support site management needs
*Maintain cleanliness in outdoor spaces and support cleaning teams when required
*Assist with setting up rooms for events and school activities

*Practical, hands-on, and confident with basic maintenance and repair tasks
*Organised, proactive, and able to work independently
*Friendly, approachable, and a team player
*Committed to ensuring a safe and positive environment for children
*Able to work flexibly around school hours, if needed
*Knowledgeable about health & safety procedures
Requirements*Previous experience in a caretaking, facilities, maintenance, or similar role (preferred)
*Good understanding of site security and safety processes
*Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
