School Caretaker - Bexleyheath
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am-1:00pm
Pay: £14+ per hour
Employer: Working on behalf of Academics for a local school
Academics are currently recruiting a School Caretaker to support a friendly local school in Bexleyheath. This is a part-time, morning role ideal for someone with previous caretaking, facilities, or site support experience.
Key Responsibilities: * Opening and securing the school site
* General site maintenance and basic repairs
* Carrying out health & safety checks
* Setting up rooms for school activities and events
* Ensuring the school grounds are clean, safe, and well maintained
* Supporting staff with ad-hoc site-related tasks
* Liaising with contractors where required
The Ideal Candidate: * Previous experience as a caretaker, site assistant, or facilities operative (preferred)
* Reliable, practical, and hands-on approach
* Good understanding of health & safety
* Able to work independently and take initiative
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
