Description
The Finance Assistant will;
*Process weekly purchase ledger payment runs and ad-hoc payments
*Monitor balances across approximately 40 current accounts (across four major banks) to ensure sufficient funds for upcoming payments
*Complete monthly HMRC payments
*Perform monthly agreement and reconciliation of group intercompany and control accounts
*Carry out purchase ledger processing, including intercompany journals
*Update and maintain the chart of accounts
*Undertake various ad-hoc accounting duties as required
Profile
A successful Finance Assistant should have:
*Educational background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
*Proficiency in Sage Line 50 and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
*Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
*Familiarity with financial regulations within the not-for-profit industry.
*Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
*Excellent communication skills for liaising with stakeholders.
