PERSONAL TAX MANAGER – WATFORD
We are a leading firm of Chartered Accountants & Tax Advisers with offices across the region. THE ROLETo support the continued growth of the Watford team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
*Working closely with the Tax Principals and wider team to achieve results and foster a positive team environment
*Liaising with and meeting clients to understand and meet their requirements
*Preparing personal, partnership, and trust tax returns for more complex clients
*Reviewing personal tax returns, advisory work, and technical work prepared by junior team members
*Identifying tax planning opportunities, advising clients, and assisting with implementation
*Assisting with and responding to HMRC enquiries and compliance checks
*Collaborating with multiple teams and Principals across the firm on ad-hoc advisory projects
ABOUT YOUIdeally, you will have:
*CTA qualified (or equivalent)
*2+ years’ PQE
*Experience gained within a personal tax practice
*Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage and support junior team members
*Experience managing a portfolio of clients, with responsibility for compliance and identifying planning opportunities
*Good IT skills, ideally with experience using Digita tax software
*Up-to-date technical tax knowledge, supported by recent training and practical experience
*Strong communication skills with both clients and colleagues
BENEFITS & EMPLOYMENT DETAILS*Full-time role – Monday to Friday
*Flexible time policy, with a combination of office and home working
*Remuneration dependent on experience
*Right to work in the UK required
*Annual Christmas Bonus equivalent to one week’s salary
*Salary Sacrifice Pension Scheme (auto-enrolment subject to eligibility) | Employer: 5% | Employee: 3%
*Private Medical Insurance following completion of 3 months’ service (taxable benefit)
*Death in Service cover (4x salary)
*Group Income Protection Scheme (non-contributory) following completion of 3 months’ service
*Annual leave of 25 days per annum (pro rata), with 3 days typically taken over Christmas/New Year
