Job Description:
Repairs & Maintenance Support Officer*Pay Rate: £16.11 PAYE / £20.36 Umbrella
*Location: Morden, Hybrid (3 days office-based, 2 days working from home)
*Job Type: Temporary Contract
*Working Hours: Monday - Friday / 9am - 5pm
We are seeking two Repairs & Maintenance Support Officers to provide essential administrative support to our Repairs and Maintenance team. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth delivery of high-quality responsive repairs, complex works, disrepair, void work, and cyclical repairs services. The successful candidates will play a key role in maintaining high customer satisfaction and effective payment structures.
Day-to-day of the role:*Assist in the delivery of an effective and efficient Repairs & Maintenance service at an operational level.
*Provide support through the effective management of IT systems.
*Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping and processing of invoices within given timescales.
*Raise and record purchase requisitions for work issued to suppliers, ensuring correct budget codes are used.
*Collate and provide accurate information required for disclosure and support the Handyperson Service by managing diaries, supplies, and bookings.
*Maintain operational data, files, and folders, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date records.
*Assist with the management of informal EHO queries and legal disrepair cases.
*Analyse daily repair reports and take appropriate actions related to no access and follow-on work processes.
*Support the team in administrative tasks and minute taking for meetings.
*Contribute to the development of processes and procedures to ensure consistency and best practice.
Required Skills & Qualifications:*Knowledge of the Social Housing Sector and its regulations.
*Experience in Repairs & Maintenance within a Housing Association or Local Authority.
*Proficient in managing purchase requisitions and processing invoices.
*Skilled in IT systems including Outlook, Word, Excel, and housing database systems.
*Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively liaising with various stakeholders.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to excellent customer service.
*Minimum GCSE grade C or equivalent in Maths and English Language.
*Experience in minute taking and ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment with conflicting priorities.
