Special Needs Teaching Assistant | Warrington, WA4 Primary School | Long-Term Role | February Start
February 23rd 2026 - July 17th 2026
Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Warrington area to recruit a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning needs.
This is a long-term position starting on 23rd February 2026, continuing through to 17th July 2026, offering consistency and the opportunity to make a real impact across the academic year.

Staff work collaboratively to ensure every child feels safe, supported and valued, with a strong focus on emotional wellbeing, positive relationships and personal development.

The Role As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs
* Support learning, engagement and emotional regulation throughout the school day
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
* Implement strategies outlined in EHCPs or support plans
* Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour
* Support both academic and social development
This role would suit someone patient, consistent and confident in building positive relationships.
