About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is seeking a full-time, qualified Art Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in the Salford area to start in January 2026.
Position Details:
*Location: Salford
*Type: Long Term
*Start Date: April 2026
*Full Time/Part Time: 5 days per week
*Hours: 8:15 am - 4:00 pm
*Pay: Paid to scale
Responsibilities:
*Teaching and Instruction: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging art lessons that cater to a variety of skill levels. Encourage and develop students’ creative thinking and artistic skills.
*Curriculum Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive art curriculum aligned with educational standards.
*Student Assessment: Evaluate and assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills. Maintain accurate records of student performance and development. Prepare and administer assignments, projects, and examinations.
*Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters creativity and respect. Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures to ensure a safe and productive learning space.
*Professional Development: Stay updated on current trends and best practices in art education.
*Communication: Provide support and guidance to students in their artistic endeavours and career aspirations.
Experience, Training, and Qualifications:
*Teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
*Previous experience in a UK school
*Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as some training will be provided)
Eligibility Requirements:
*Right to Work in the UK
*Enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate registered with the online update service (or willingness to process a new application)
*Two professional references
