Job Description:
PR Specialist
We’re looking for a PR Specialist to join our prestigious US law firm client and act as a key contributor to the firm’s marketing & communications initiatives, managing media inquiries for key practice areas, researching publications, creating targeted media outreach and advising attorneys on media relations opportunities
*Salary to £70,000
*Hybrid working – 4 days in the office / 1 day remote
*Free lunch every Wednesday
*£100 per month firm contribution to lunch or other expenses
PR Specialist Key Responsibilities:
*Assist with daily media relations, including responding to journalist inquiries, conducting conflict checks, and researching relevant publications and reporters
*Create and maintain targeted media lists for press outreach and distribution
*Pitch story ideas to journalists, coordinate interviews, and advise attorneys on messaging and interview preparation
*Draft and distribute press releases and other public relations content to elevate the firm’s visibility
*Monitor media coverage involving the firm and its attorneys
*Coordinate media planning and strategy calls with internal stakeholders, Marketing team members, and the firm’s external PR agency
*Assist with internal reporting and special research projects
PR Specialist Skills & Requirements:
*5+ years of demonstrated success of in a PR- or communications-related role in business- to-business, ideally within a law firm
*Ability to communicate effectively with media, lawyers, executives and colleagues through excellent written and oral communication skills
*Keen knowledge of the media landscape and ongoing readership of major outlets
*Ability to distil complex materials into digestible content to multiple audiences across different channels
