Overview
A well-established law firm in Nottingham is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with prior legal accounts experience to play a key role in ensuring the firm’s financial processes run smoothly and in line with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Processing client and office account transactions in accordance with the SRA Accounts Rules
* Handling receipts, payments, transfers and bill postings
* Managing CHAPS and BACS payments
* Performing daily bank reconciliations
* Supporting month-end and year-end procedures
* Assisting with VAT returns and disbursements
* Dealing with queries from fee earners and external parties
* Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance at all times
Requirements
* Previous experience working as a Legal Cashier within a law firm
* Strong understanding of the SRA Accounts Rules
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Good organisational and time-management skills
* Confident using legal accounts and case management systems
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
