Job Description:
The Business
A fast-growing business based in south Manchester is seeking to a dynamic Account Assistant to join its growing finance team. The business specialises in delivering commercial projects to companies across the UK offering services across a range of sectors, from industrial, office, retail and leisure.
The Role
*Process approximately 400 + purchase ledger invoices per month, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
*Manage and process employee expenses and company credit card transactions.
*Complete bank reconciliations on a regular basis.
*Prepare and run supplier payment runs.
*Handle supplier account queries, working closely with internal teams and external contacts to resolve issues promptly.
*Manage the main Accounts mailbox, dealing with internal and external finance queries efficiently.
*Support with ad hoc finance duties, including assistance with year-end audit preparation and other tasks as required.
Person
*Studying towards an accounting qualification – AAT/ACCA/CIMA
*Experience within an Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger role
*Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
*Good communication skills, with the ability to handle supplier and internal queries professionally.
*Proficient in Microsoft Excel
*Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider finance team.
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
