Job PurposeTo provide high-quality care, safety, and early-years education for children, supporting their learning, development, and wellbeing in line with EYFS standards.
Key Responsibilities*Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children aged 0–5
*Plan and deliver age-appropriate learning and play activities
*Observe, assess, and record children’s development and progress
*Support children’s emotional, social, and physical development
*Ensure safeguarding, health, and safety policies are followed at all times
*Maintain accurate records and reports as required
*Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers
*Assist with daily routines including meals, hygiene, and rest periods
*Promote inclusion, equality, and positive behaviour
Essential Requirements*Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
*Knowledge of EYFS framework
*Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
*Good communication and teamwork skills
*Passion for early-years childcare and development
Desirable*Paediatric First Aid certification
*Previous nursery or childcare experience
*Safeguarding training
*Experience working with children with additional needs
Working Conditions*Nursery / early-years setting
*Shift-based working including early and late shifts
*DBS check required
