HGV Class 1 Driver – Manchester
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Manchester. This is an excellent short-term opportunity for an HGV Class 1 Driver, offering great rates of pay, consistent work, and a professional working environment throughout the busy peak period.
Shifts
• Day and night work
• 7-day operation
Rates of Pay
• £19.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
• Safely and efficiently operating Category CE vehicles
• Delivering food products to store locations
• Ensuring all loads are safely secured
• Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Reporting any vehicle defects or issues to management
• Completing deliveries in a timely and professional manner
• Communicating effectively with the transport office regarding delays or issues
• Complying with all driving regulations and working time directives
• Completing all required paperwork accurately
Essential Skills
• Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN10, DR10 or DD10 codes)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
Desirable Experience
• More than 2 years’ Class 1 driving experience
• Experience handling double-decker trailers
Training Provided
• Paid site induction
• Full industry-related training and ongoing support throughout the assignment
