Job Description:
HGV Class 2 Driver – Sparkbrook, West Midlands
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Sparkbrook, West Midlands.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a HGV Class 2 Driver offering great rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for progression.
Shifts
• Monday to Friday
• 06:00am starts
Rates of Pay
• £15.00 per hour – basic rate

Day-to-Day Duties
• Curtainside deliveries (no handball involved)
• Operating and driving HGV Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
• Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all loads are loaded and secured correctly
• Adhering to UK road traffic laws and transport regulations
• Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly
• Assisting with loading and unloading when required
• Completing a maximum of 5 drops per day
Essential Skills
• Valid UK Category C (HGV Class 2) driving licence
• Minimum of 12 months’ experience driving HGV Class 2 vehicles
• Valid UK Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsements)
• Good level of spoken and written English
• Strong punctuality and time-keeping
• Good understanding of road safety and transport regulations
• Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience
• Previous HGV Class 2 multi-drop delivery experience
• Experience driving other commercial vehicles
Training Provided
• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout the assignment
