Job Description:
Venn Group have been exclusively engaged by one of our long standing clients to find a new Assistant Finance Manager. This is initially a 6 month contract role but will have a strong chance of extending/going permanent.
The role is based in South West London on a hybrid basis (2 days per week on-site).
The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant, and will be able to start a new role immediately.
Responsibilities:
*Act as business partner to department heads, identifying key financial needs, risks, and opportunities while providing clear, influential insight and advice
*Build and communicate financial models to support strategic decisions, assess performance, and guide long-term planning.
*Support project accounting, including budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring accuracy, data integrity, and robust assessment of financial and non-financial risks.
*Produce concise monthly management accounts with financial and non-financial KPIs, variance analysis, and relevant commentary.
*Support and train a management accountant, delegating work as necessary
Requirements:
*Fully Qualified Accountant, immediately available to start a new role
*Proven Business Partnering experience in a complex environment
*Strong project accounting/financial modelling skillset
*Effective communication, with prior people management experience
