Senior Accountant / Accounts Assistant Manager

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant to join a busy, friendly team where staff wellbeing is genuinely valued. The role offers variety, responsibility and the chance to further develop your technical knowledge within a supportive environment.
Role Responsibilities
*Preparing statutory accounts through to final review stage.
*Producing annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and landlords.
*Drafting personal and corporate tax returns.
*Preparing and submitting VAT returns to HMRC.
*Reviewing work completed by junior team members and supporting their development.
*Acting as a key point of contact for clients, responding to queries and maintaining strong relationships.
*Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients.
*Assisting with ad-hoc duties as required.
Personal Requirements
*Minimum of four years’ experience within an accountancy practice.
*AAT qualified, ACCA/CIMA part-qualified, or qualified by experience.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills.
*Experience using accountancy software such as Sage, Xero or QuickBooks.
*Ability to manage workload effectively under pressure.
*Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
*Proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
