About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming team located in the heart of Kensington and Chelsea. As a Teaching Assistant, you will support the delivery of high-quality education, assisting the class teacher in providing tailored learning experiences for students. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about working with children and helping them to succeed academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the class teacher in the planning and delivery of lessons, ensuring all students are engaged and supported.

Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, helping them overcome any learning challenges.

Encourage students to develop their independence and problem-solving skills.

Support students with special educational needs (SEN), providing targeted interventions when necessary.

Help with classroom organization and preparation of teaching materials.

Monitor student progress, track development, and provide feedback to the teacher.

Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.

Work collaboratively with the teaching team to promote the overall wellbeing and academic progress of all students.

Key Requirements:

A strong passion for working with children and supporting their learning.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with both students and staff.

Previous experience working in a school or childcare setting is desirable but not essential.

A patient, approachable, and flexible attitude.

GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or above) or equivalent.

Willingness to engage in professional development and training.

Desirable:

A relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).

Experience supporting children with SEN (e.g., autism, dyslexia, or learning disabilities).

An up-to-date DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
