Technical Sales Administrator

Operating for several decades, the business supplies specialist materials handling and recovery equipment into a broad range of commercial and industrial sectors across the UK. Known for its technical expertise and customer loyalty, the company combines a professional, knowledgeable approach with a close-knit team culture.
The RoleReporting to senior leadership within the commercial function, you will support the sales team by maintaining contact with existing and prospective customers, generating and qualifying leads, and ensuring all communications and opportunities are accurately recorded within internal systems.
This is a proactive, outbound-focused role requiring confidence on the telephone, resilience, and strong organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities*Maintain regular contact with existing and lapsed customers to remain front of mind for future opportunities
*Proactively manage prospect outreach via telephone and email
*Cleanse and maintain the prospect database to ensure data accuracy
*Identify and engage with key decision-makers
*Confidently manage gatekeepers and overcome objections
*Provide relevant technical product information to prospective customers
*Generate and qualify leads before passing to the sales team for follow-up
*Conduct timely follow-up calls and emails after information has been issued
*Continuously refine and improve lead qualification processes
*Work closely with the sales team to support pipeline development
*Accurately record all opportunities, quotes, and communications within the CRM/business system
*Contact customers to promote and raise awareness of new product launches
About You*Self-motivated and proactive, with a positive and resilient mindset
*Strong ability to prioritise workload and manage follow-up activity effectively
*Confident communicator with excellent rapport-building skills
*Comfortable handling rejection while remaining upbeat and professional
*Strong objection-handling and gatekeeper management skills
*High level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
*IT-literate, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook)
*Experience using CRM or business systems (SAP Business One experience advantageous)
*Located within a reasonable commuting distance of the office
Working Hours & Benefits*Monday to Thursday: 9:00am – 5:30pm
*Friday: 9:00am – 4:00pm
*1-hour lunch break
