Temporary Warehouse Operatives – Tamworth
People Solutions are currently recruiting for Temporary Warehouse Operatives to join our well-established client based in Tamworth during their busy peak period. This is a short-term assignment for Warehouse Operatives, lasting approximately 2–3 weeks in the lead-up to Mother’s Day, offering excellent hourly rates, weekly pay, and opportunities for further seasonal work.
Shifts
Pre-Peak Core Shifts
• 12:30 – 22:30
• Working five days per week
Mother’s Day Peak Week (w/c 9th March)
• 07:30 – 16:00 OR 16:00 – 00:30
• Working a minimum of five days per week
Rates of Pay
• £13.29 per hour (basic rate)
• £19.93 per hour (overtime)
• Enhanced unsocial hours (11:00pm – 6:00am):
– £17.28 per hour basic
– £25.92 per hour overtime

Day-to-Day Duties
Your duties as a Temporary Warehouse Operative will include (but not be limited to):
• Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Handling items such as gift vouchers, cards, balloons and personalised mugs
• Carrying out stock checks and maintaining accurate records
• Preparing, labelling and packaging items for dispatch
• Moving and organising stock safely within the warehouse
• Using handheld scanners and warehouse equipment
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Meeting daily performance targets and KPIs
• Handling packaged alcohol where required
• Following all health and safety procedures at all times
Essential Skills
To be successful as a Warehouse Operative, you will need:
• A basic level of spoken and written English
• Good reliability and time-keeping
• Strong communication skills
• The ability to work well as part of a team
• A positive, flexible and proactive attitude
• The ability to pass a basic English and numeracy test
• Proof of Right to Work in the UK
• Comfortable handling packaged alcohol
• Full availability for the entire 2–3 week period up to 15 March 2026, with no pre-booked holidays
Must have own transport to get to Tamworth (B78) to work
Desirable Experience
• Previous warehouse or packing experience
• Experience using handheld scanners or similar equipment
Training
• Full training provided
• Ongoing support throughout the assignment
