Locum Social Worker - Learning Disability Team
Are you a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker looking for your next locum opportunity within Adult Services?
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Locum Social Worker to join a supportive and forward-thinking Learning Disability Team in Trafford. The service adopts a strengths-based approach, combining applied behavioural science with person-centred practice to deliver meaningful and positive outcomes.

Responsibilities: *Complete Care Act 2014 assessments and person-centred support planning
*Work collaboratively with service users, families, and carers
*Support individuals to access housing, employment, and community resources
*Manage safeguarding concerns and respond to crisis situations
*Work within the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and DoLS frameworks
*Undertake risk assessments and promote safe, strengths-based practice
*Advocate for individuals’ rights, ensuring their voice is central to decision-making
*Work closely with multi-disciplinary partners including health professionals and housing services
To Be Considered for the Role, ideally you will have: *Diploma / Degree in Social Work
*Social Work England registration
*1-3 years’ experience within a similar Adult Social Work setting
*Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities
*Strong knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Best Interests processes
*Experience in safeguarding, risk management, and multi-agency working
