Accounts Assistant, Sherburn in Elmet, £26,000-£30,000
An established business based in Sherburn in Elmet is looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their busy finance team. The Role
As Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
*Maintaining the Purchase Ledger
*Processing supplier payments
*Raising and issuing sales invoices
*Chasing outstanding payments to ensure timely cash flow
*Identifying and resolving documentation discrepancies
*Updating and maintaining internal spreadsheets
*Reconciling credit card transactions
Skills & Experience Required:
*Previous experience in a finance or accounts administration role
*Strong IT skills, including Excel (Sage 50 experience desirable, but training can be provided)
*Knowledge of VAT
*Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
