Deputy General Manager
*Annual Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
*Location: Hatfield, Hertfordshire
*Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
My client is seeking a Deputy General Manager to support the Managing Director in overseeing daily operations, team performance, and strategic goals. This role involves developing a deep understanding of systems and processes and collaborating with other managers on projects aimed at achieving the goals set by the Managing Director. This is a new position with a view to progressing to the General Manager within the next 5 years
Day-to-day of the role:
*Provide cross-functional support, working closely with key departments such as Finance, QA, Infrastructure (including HR), Operations, Business, and R&D.
*Handle administrative tasks efficiently.
*Lead and inspire the team to achieve excellence in customer service and quality.
*Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and support the strategic direction of the company.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in planning, project management, and meeting deadlines.
*Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively and make decisive actions.
*Operational knowledge including aspects of operations, health and safety, compliance, and financial management.
*A high standard of written business English.
*Previous managerial, supervisory, and/or coordination experience in a related field.
