Programme Manager
*Location: Newbury, Berkshire
*Salary: £50,000–£65,000 + Bonus + Benefits
*Job Type: Fixed-term until May 2028 (strong potential to become permanent)

Lead a high-impact programme shaping the future of UK manufacturing at a globally recognised advanced manufacturing organisation. This role involves taking full ownership of a strategic innovation programme within a major UK-funded aerospace consortium, aimed at redefining next-generation manufacturing through innovation, digital transformation, and sustainability.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Oversee a £3.2M programme consisting of three integrated workstreams:
*New Product Introduction (NPI): Industrialising four new aerospace-grade components to enhance next-generation aircraft efficiency.
*Digital Transformation: Rebuilding the organisation’s digital architecture, including ERP, MES, IoT, and laying the groundwork for a fully connected smart factory.
*Sustainability: Aiming for a 30% reduction in factory energy usage, shaping the net-zero strategy, and introducing digital part passports to track the full carbon impact.
*Coordinate three project managers, manage budgets and reporting, and represent the organisation in consortium milestone reviews.
*Ensure seamless integration and delivery of programme objectives, maintaining high standards of performance and compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Project management qualification (APM PMQ, PRINCE2 Practitioner, APMP, etc.).
*Proven experience in delivering complex, multi-workstream programmes.
*Strong background in manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, defence, or similar regulated environments.
*Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills.
*Confidence in working with digital, technical, or sustainability-focused partners.
*A values-driven mindset with strong integrity and a collaborative approach.
