Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to be working with a leading logistics and secure distribution business to recruit a Parcel Operations Manager for their Rotherham site.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operations professional to join a fast-paced, regulated logistics environment where service delivery, team leadership and operational efficiency are key.
The Role As Parcel Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational performance, ensuring resources are managed effectively and contractual service levels are consistently achieved.
You will lead and develop a team within a secure distribution setting, driving performance, compliance and customer satisfaction while contributing to overall site profitability and operational excellence.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong organisational skills, operational oversight and the ability to manage in a highly structured, process-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities * Manage daily operational activities to ensure service delivery targets are met

* Lead, motivate and develop operational teams, conducting regular 1:1s and performance reviews

* Ensure staff are appropriately trained and compliant with operational procedures

* Monitor operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost efficiency

* Maintain regular communication with customers regarding service delivery and operational updates

* Provide operational cover as required, including occasional out-of-hours or weekend support

* Ensure all health & safety, incident reporting and absence management processes are followed

* Work collaboratively with wider operational teams to maintain service continuity

* Contribute to branch/site performance, security and compliance standards

About You We are looking for a motivated and proactive operations leader with experience in logistics, transport or parcel distribution environments.
You will:
* Have previous experience managing teams within a logistics or operational setting

* Be confident managing performance and conducting formal reviews

* Have strong organisational and problem-solving skills

* Be analytical and comfortable working to KPIs and deadlines

* Demonstrate strong communication skills (both written and verbal)

* Be flexible in your approach to working hours when operationally required

* Possess good IT skills and numerical ability

* Hold a full UK driving licence

Desirable:
* Experience within parcel, transport, distribution or secure logistics environments

* Degree level education or equivalent experience
