We are seeking a practical and reliable maintenance person to support day-to-day operations on a large engineering and manufacturing site in Derby.This role focusses on general maintenance support, banksman duties, and porterage, helping to keep the site running safely, efficiently, and in good order. It is a support role within an operational engineering environment rather than a construction project.
Key Responsibilities:
*General maintenance person and basic maintenance tasks across the site
*Banksman duties to support vehicle and plant movements
*Porterage and manual handling of equipment and materials
*Assisting operational teams as required
*Maintaining safe, tidy, and well-organised work areas

Requirements:
*Previous experience in a maintenance person, facilities, or industrial support role
*Comfortable with manual handling and varied day-to-day tasks
*Banksman experience preferred
*Strong health & safety awareness
*Reliable, flexible, and able to work within a busy engineering environment
