Job Description:
The Management Accountant acts as a strategic financial partner across two distinct entities, bridging the gap between high-level financial reporting and day-to-day operational efficiency. The role is focused on driving continuous improvement through rigorous cost control, stock valuation, and collaborative decision-making with the Senior Management Team.

* Operating Subsidiary: A large-scale production business that grows and supplies products for the UK retail and amenity markets.
* Holdings Company: A large production firm that manages retail and assets used by the operating business
* Culture: The group fosters a "can-do" administrative culture dedicated to supporting operational units and utilising modern ERP systems.
Description
The core of the role involves high-level analysis and hands-on operational support:
* Financial Integrity: Performing regular P&L and Balance Sheet reviews and maintaining robust financial stewardship over business-wide projects.
* Operational Optimisation: Collaborating with teams to control costs, improve sales margins, and ensure accurate stock costing vital task in a retail production environment.
* Strategic Planning: Managing budgets, strategic forecasts, capital expenditure (CapEx), and competitor analysis.
* New Revenue Streams: Providing financial oversight for the E-commerce section and analysing new retail sales channels.
* Systems Development: Working with IT to evolve the ERP system to improve data quality and optimise production output.

* The ideal candidate is a proactive "relationship builder" who balances technical expertise with emotional intelligence:
* Qualified: Must hold an appropriate accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, etc.).
