We are excited to be working with a fantastic values driven business, who are looking to recruit a part time Finance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on finance professional to join a growing business.
The role is a mainly remote position, with travel to Portsmouth when necessary (approx. 1 – 2 per month)
You will be reporting directly to the Managing Director, and will be responsible for the day-to-day finance function, ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting, and effective cashflow management. You will also support and mentor an Accounts Assistant while working closely with the wider leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
*Responsible for the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoice preparation and expenses
*Manage bank reconciliations and oversee AR/AP ledger reconciliations
*Maintain and update cashflow forecasts, P&L reporting, and capitation forecasts
*Liaise with external accountants for year-end processes
*Support procurement activities and maintain the fixed asset register
*Manage relationships with leasing companies, insurance brokers, and other external stakeholders
*Act as finance lead for premises-related matters
*Provide financial insight to support operational forecasting and business decision-making
*Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen financial controls and efficiency
*Support HR and contract/pricing queries where required
Key skills:
*CIMA/ACCA studying/qualified
*At least 2 years’ experience in a Finance Manager role, or 5+ years’ experience as a Senior Accounts Assistant ready to step up
*Strong Excel skills (pivot tables and advanced functions desirable)
*Experience using Xero
*Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload
*Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
*A high level of integrity, reliability, and attention to detail

*Salary of £40-45k DOE
