As a Lead IT Specialist in the industrial and manufacturing sector, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the technology infrastructure of the organisation. This position, based in Derby, requires a proactive and skilled individual to ensure seamless IT operations and support.

Description
*Manage and maintain IT systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
*Oversee the implementation and upgrade of technology infrastructure.
*Provide technical support and solutions to internal teams.
*Develop and enforce IT policies and best practices across the organisation.
*Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and address technology requirements.
*Monitor system performance and implement improvements where necessary.
*Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
*Lead and mentor the IT team to drive success and innovation.
Profile
A successful Lead IT Specialist should have:
*A strong background in IT management within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
*Proficiency in managing and upgrading complex technology systems.
*Experience in implementing IT policies and ensuring compliance with regulations.
*Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
*Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
*Leadership experience to guide and develop an IT team
*A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (technical certifications such as Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, Cybersecurity are a plus)
*experience in IT infrastructure, site/field support, or cybersecurity roles
*Strong knowledge of networking, servers, storage, cloud technologies, and Microsoft environments
*Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, compliance standards, and IT/OT integration
*Experience with automation platforms and low-code tools (e.g., PowerApps, Power Automate)
*Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement scalable solutions
*Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills
*Ability to mentor and train users and junior IT staff
*Willingness to travel occasionally to support regional sites or events
*Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
