I am partnering with a leading commercial organisation to recruit a Lead Data Analyst to join their growing analytics function.
This is a leadership role with a strong hands-on component, ideal for an experienced analyst who enjoys developing people while remaining close to the data.
Summary
As Lead Data Analyst, you will oversee analytics within a key business domain, managing a small team while delivering high-quality reporting and insight. You will play a central role in prioritising analytical initiatives, ensuring data quality, and driving projects that directly support commercial decision-making.
The role balances:
*Team leadership and development (approx. 40%)
*Analytics ownership and prioritisation (approx. 20%)
*Hands-on reporting and analysis (approx. 40%)
Requirements
*Experience managing, mentoring, or coaching analysts
*Strong technical capability in SQL for data extraction and transformation
*Proven experience building reporting solutions in Tableau or Power BI
*Ability to perform detailed analysis and translate findings into clear business insight
*Strong stakeholder management skills across commercial teams
*A structured, detail-oriented approach to problem solving
