English Teacher (QTS) - Lancaster & Morecambe Are you a Qualified English Specialist seeking a rewarding role with competitive pay?
We are recruiting English Teachers (QTS) for high-performing secondary schools across the Lancaster and Morecambe district. Whether you are looking for the stability of a Full-Time position or the flexibility of Part-Time hours, we have placements starting immediately and for the upcoming terms in 2026.
Pay & Working Patterns * Daily Rate:£130 - £180 per day (Dependant on experience).

* Payment Method:Direct PAYE - No umbrella company fees or hidden deductions.

* Flexibility:Full-Time (5 days/week) or Part-Time (2-4 days/week) contracts available.

The Role & Responsibilities * Deliver high-quality English Language and Literature lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.

* Plan, prepare, and assess student work, ensuring progress aligns with the latest 2026 GCSE assessment criteria.

* Foster a passion for literacy, oracy, and critical analysis within a diverse classroom setting.

* Collaborate with experienced English departments to share resources and best practices.

* Maintain excellent classroom management and uphold the individual behavioral policies of our partner schools.

Essential Candidate Requirements * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS is mandatory for this role.

* A strong academic background with a degree in English or a related field.

* Proven experience teaching the UK National Curriculum in a secondary school environment.

* The ability to differentiate lessons to support students of all abilities, including those with SEND.

* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to process a new one).
