1:1 Teaching Assistant (SEN Support) - Darwen (BB3)
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs at a high-achieving primary school in Darwen (BB3).

Role Overview * Location: Darwen, Lancashire (Postcode: BB3)
* Start Date: Monday, 23rd February 2026
* Contract: Full-time, until the end of the academic year (July 2026)
* Hours: 8:45 am - 3:30 pm (Monday to Friday)
* Salary: £85 - £100 per day (linked to experience)
Your Responsibilities * Work 1:1 with a specific pupil, providing tailored support to meet their social, emotional, and academic goals.
* Implement strategies outlined in the pupil’s Individual Education Plan (IEP).
* Assist the Class Teacher in managing classroom behavior and fostering an inclusive environment.
* Provide regular feedback to the SENCo regarding the pupil’s progress and engagement.
Requirements * Experience: Proven experience supporting children with SEN (Autism, ADHD, or SEMH) is highly desirable.
* Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 TA qualification (or equivalent experience).
* DBS: A child-only enhanced DBS on the Update Service is essential (or willingness to apply for one).
* Reliability: A commitment to the pupil until the end of the summer term to ensure continuity of care.
