Full-Time KS4 Tutor - Alternative Provision

A specialist Alternative Provision in Salford is seeking a dedicated and resilient KS4 Tutor to join their team on a full-time basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils in Years 10-11 who require additional support to re-engage with education. The provision supports young people with a range of needs, including SEMH, behavioural challenges, and disrupted educational experiences.
The Role: * Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group tuition to KS4 pupils

* Support GCSE progress in core subjects (English and Maths essential)

* Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs

* Build positive, professional relationships to promote engagement

* Support pupils to develop confidence, resilience, and academic skills

* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external professionals

The Ideal Candidate Will: * Have experience working with KS4 students

* Be confident delivering GCSE-level English and/or Maths

* Have experience in alternative provisions, PRUs, or SEMH settings (desirable)

* Demonstrate strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills

* Be patient, empathetic, and consistent in approach

* Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
