HR Business Partner
Location: Newcastle – Hybrid
Hours: Full-time
Salary: £35,000
We are supporting a values-driven organisation in recruiting an experienced HR Business Partner. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, partnering with managers, and delivering a proactive, people-focused HR service.
Working closely with the Head of HR and wider team, you’ll help deliver the people plan, strengthen engagement, and provide confident guidance across employee relations, talent, performance, policy and development. If you enjoy taking ownership and influencing positive change, this role offers real impact.
The Role
As an HR Business Partner, you’ll act as a trusted advisor, providing high-quality support across your stakeholder group. Responsibilities include:
*Building strong relationships and delivering a consistent, high-quality HR service
*Advising on ER matters and guiding managers through investigations, capability, performance and grievances
*Supporting succession planning, workforce discussions and development activity
*Managing and mentoring HR Coordinators
*Supporting recruitment best practice and involvement in hiring where needed
*Working with the Talent Manager on onboarding, training and capability
*Monitoring key HR metrics and recommending improvements
*Reviewing and updating HR policies in line with legislation
*Managing OH, PHI and SMCR Fitness & Propriety processes
*Conducting exit interviews and supporting retention work
*Ensuring accurate and timely collaboration with payroll
About You
You will bring:
*Solid generalist HR experience and strong knowledge of employment legislation
*Experience advising managers on a range of HR and ER matters
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*Ability to manage a busy workload with a practical, solutions-focused approach
*A flexible, proactive and collaborative working style
*CIPD Level 5/7 (desirable)
*Financial services experience (desirable)
