Interim Finance Manager - Manufacturing | Chippenham | ££ Competitive Day RateDuration: Long-term cover (extended leave)
Location: Chippenham - 4 days on-site + 1 day from home (Friday half-day)
Team: Finance team of 2Reporting to: Managing Director & Group Finance DirectorBusiness Size: ~£10m turnover | ~35 employees
About the Opportunity
A well-established and growing manufacturing organisation based in Chippenham is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Manager to provide vital cover for a long-term staff absence.Working in a lean, hands-on finance team of two, you’ll take full ownership of the finance function and play a key role in supporting both the MD and Group FD with accurate reporting, cash management and operational insight. This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced SME or manufacturing finance professional who enjoys variety, autonomy, and partnering closely with operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
Full Ownership of Monthly Finance
*End-to-end month-end close, journals, reconciliations, accruals & prepayments
*Preparation of management accounts with clear commentary
*Cashflow forecasting, budgeting and scenario planning
Financial Controls & Governance
*Maintaining tight financial controls across all processes
*Ensuring accuracy of the balance sheet and financial data
*Supporting statutory and group reporting requirements
Transactional Finance Oversight
*Oversight of AP/AR, bank payments, payroll checks and coding
*Hands-on support within a small team
