Primary SEND Teaching Assistant - Higher Needs

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Enfield to recruit an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with higher needs, including those requiring personal care, on a full-time basis starting ASAP.
This role is ideal for a compassionate and resilient individual with experience supporting children with complex needs in a primary setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support for pupils with complex SEND needs

* Support children with ASD, SEMH, physical disabilities, and communication needs

* Assist with personal care, including toileting and hygiene support where required

* Implement individual education, health, and care plans (EHCPs)

* Use positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques

* Work closely with class teachers, SENCO, and external professionals

Requirements:
* Previous experience supporting pupils with higher SEND needs

* Comfortable and experienced with personal care responsibilities

* Calm, patient, and nurturing approach

* Strong communication and teamwork skills

* Available full time and able to start ASAP
