We are recruiting a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to provide personalised support to adults with learning disabilities, helping them live independently and safely within their own homes and local communities.


Location: Stockport
Rate: £14.82 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week
Rota: 7-day rolling rota with 2 days off
Shift Times: Between 8:30am–8:00pm
Driving: Essential




Day-to-day tasks:
* Provide physical, practical and emotional support in daily living and personal care
*Follow person-centred plans to help people achieve their goals, ambitions and independence
*Support individuals to build confidence, self-esteem and meaningful community involvement
*Assist with daily tasks including cooking, cleaning, budgeting, medication and personal hygiene
*Encourage people to make informed choices and express their individuality
*Maintain accurate records, financial logs and medication documentation
*Work safely and independently during lone-working periods
*Support individuals with challenging behaviour using consistent, caring approaches
*Liaise with families, health professionals and other stakeholders
*Ensure properties are safe, clean and compliant with health and safety checks


What We’re Looking For
*Experience in care, support work or learning disabilities (preferred but not essential)
*Ability to work confidently alone and follow support plans
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*A caring, respectful and person-centred approach
*Full driving licence
*Ability to work across a 7-day rota including weekends
