Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate TA to join our supportive school community in Cardiff on a part-time basis.
About the Role You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to support pupils with ASD, helping them to access learning, develop social skills, and thrive in a structured and nurturing environment. This role may involve 1:1 support as well as small group work.
Key Responsibilities * Provide tailored support for pupils with ASD
* Implement individual education plans (IEPs)
* Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
* Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals
Essential Requirements * Previous experience supporting children with ASD in a school setting
* Strong understanding of autism and associated learning needs
* Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Relevant TA qualification (desirable but not essential with strong experience)
