Job Description:
Title: Management Accountant
Type: 3-month FTC
Location: Harrogate, UK (Hybrid working available)
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 (depending on experience) + bonus & benefits
Our client is a global manufacturing group with operations across Europe, North America, and Asia. With a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and operational excellence, they continue to invest in their finance function to support growth and improve financial visibility across the business. They are now seeking a Management Accountant to join their finance team based in Harrogate, offering hybrid working and excellent career development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
*Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and variance analysis
*Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with operational stakeholders
*Analyse financial performance and provide insightful commentary to support business decision-making
*Assist with month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines
*Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances where necessary
*Partner with operational teams to improve cost control and financial performance
*Support inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing variance analysis
*Assist with statutory reporting and audit requirements as required
*Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within finance processes and reporting
*Support ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by senior finance leadership
Candidate Requirements:
*Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
*Experience in a Management Accountant, Assistant Management Accountant, or similar role
*Strong understanding of management accounting principles and financial reporting
*Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel skills
*Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
*Excellent communication skills and ability to work with non-finance stakeholders
*Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
*Motivated individual with a desire to learn and progress within a global organisation
