Job Description:
We are recruiting an experienced and motivated Team Leader to provide interim leadership for Bury Council’s Keeping Families Together service. This role offers the chance to make a real impact for children, young people, and families during a crucial time.
Role Details
Location: Bury
Contract: fixed-term temporary until April 2026
Hourly Rate: £25 per hour
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, flexible between 7am–8pm
Rota: Rota includes occasional Saturday working (9am–5pm), with a weekday off to balance hours
Start Date: As soon as possible
About the Service
Keeping Families Together provides short-term, intensive support to families facing multiple and complex challenges. The team works with children aged 8–18, helping families avoid breakdown, supporting reunification, and preventing young people from coming into care.
What You’ll Do
*Lead and supervise a team delivering intensive, relationship-based interventions
*Ensure work is high quality, trauma-informed and focused on achieving sustainable outcomes
*Provide strong management oversight of assessments, planning and casework
*Work in partnership with Social Care, Early Help and multi-agency partners
*Support staff development, performance and wellbeing
*Lead on safeguarding and ensure best practice is followed
Working Pattern
*37 hours per week, flexible between 7am–8pm (Mon–Fri)
*Participation in a Saturday rota (9am–5pm) with a weekday in lieu
*Mix of office and home working depending on service needs
