Are you passionate about making a real impact in the lives of young people? We’re recruiting a Personal Adviser (Leaving Care) to support care leavers as they navigate their journey into adulthood. This is a rewarding opportunity to build trusted relationships, champion young people’s aspirations, and empower them to thrive.
The RoleAs a Personal Adviser, you will:
*Provide tailored support to young people leaving care, helping them feel safe, valued, and connected.
*Build strong, meaningful relationships and work in a trauma-informed way.
*Advocate for young people, ensuring their voices and wishes shape all decisions.
*Support access to education, training, employment, health services, and accommodation.
*Work collaboratively with professionals and agencies across the community.
*Carry out pathway plan assessments, statutory visits, and maintain accurate records.
*Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive outcomes.
About YouYou will need:
*An NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
*Experience working with children, young people, families, or vulnerable groups.
*Strong communication, organisational, and assessment skills.
*An empathetic, non-judgmental approach and the ability to build rapport.
*Confidence using IT systems and recording information.
*Commitment to anti-discriminatory practice and co-production with young people.
It’s a bonus if you also have experience with:
Domestic abuse, substance misuse, youth engagement, child development, or supporting young people into education or employment.
